Banshee-1 in openSUSE 11.3
I've always had trouble getting Banshee to see the lame encoder for mp3s
. I once again have lost the ability to rip to mp3s in Banshee-1
. Well I started to look around and found two different rippers that will do the trick
. “Asunder” and “Audex”. Both will rip to mp3 and are very configurable. “Asunder” can rip multiple file formats at once and it's really fast, “VERY COOL”I can rip mp3, wave, flac and ogg all at the same time if I wanted to
. “Audex” is not quite as fast but still better and more reliable than Grip. It will create a front CD cover pic and a playlist file as well as other data files. I rip my stuff to the desktop and then move it to what ever folder I want to. I can then do a quick add-to in Banshee and all is well. I hope this little tid-bit helps out. 'Till next time, Happy Linuxing! ![]()
